GOVT. GIRLS HIGH SECONDARY SCHOOL SIALKOT CANTT

In February 2009 the team of School TB Clubs Project visited Government Girls Higher Secondary School Sialkot Cantt, for awareness campaign and establishing TB club. The team delivered an awareness lecture and distributed the flyers about TB, urging school children to join hands in the fight against TB. The lecture was attended by more than 500 students, in which Team were told the students about the symptoms and preventive measures regarding TB and were introduced to the school TB clubs project and its aims, objectives and activities.

Mahwish is a student of 10th Class in Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Cantt. She is Member of School TB Club and Received an Awareness Lecture by IHS School TB Clubs Team and She Know about the Symptoms and Preventive measures about Tuberculoses.

Mahwish said, I know very well my duties being a school TB Club Members.That, s why I starts a compaighan regarding the awareness of other peoples about TB. During this Compaighan i meet with an old man which looks very weak and he have regular shots of coughing with fever. After some time, during conversation, I told him,

The IHS School TB Clubs Project arranged a program on TB in our school. I also participated in the program where I came to know about TB and the hospital where TB can be diagnosed.

During this conversation the old man coughing continuesally with sputum. I told to that old man please, don’t be angry on me but I feel that you are suffering in TB disease. he doesn’t answer of my question. But after some time he told me that yes I am suffering in TB disease .I asked her that you are take medicine. He said that, I having medicine from past 7 months. So I said him that he will continue his treatment without missing any dose of medicine. Because if he missed any dose, he losses previous treatment’s.

Now after complete treatment he is very happy and spends his life pleasantly.
